THE ROCK STUD TO OFFER CHOICELY BRED COLT AT CAPE SALE
27 February 2019

Spencer Cook’s The Rock Stud will be singly represented at this year’s Cape Yearling Sale, but The Rock’s sole yearling is worth of close attention.

Flying Grace (Lot 141) is a colt by the hugely exciting young Jet Master stallion Master Of My Fate, a winner of six of eight outings including both the G2 Premier Trophy and G2 Peninsula Handicap.
South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire By Winners in 2017-2018, Master Of My Fate has made a considerable splash already as a sire, with his early runners headed by multiple graded stakes winner Twist Of Fate, Kenyan star Silverstone Air, impressive debut winner Mistressofmyfate and the promising two-year-old Basadi Faith.

His son Flying Grace, who is a direct descendant of South Africa’s most famous broodmare Drohsky, is a well related colt whose dam is a winning half-sister to Jockey Club Stakes winner Alvilda.

Flying Grace’s G3 placed granddam, High Sea, in turn is a half-sister to the dam of G1 Thekwini Stakes runner up Melliflora and this is the immediate family of G1 winners Big Brass, Stella Maris and SA Nursery winner Fallon.

Further back, this is the female line of G1 winning sprinter Harry Hill, champion Evening Mist, and July winner Diza.
