Dr Marianne Thomson’s Ambiance Stud will be offering two very well bred colts at the 2019 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale on November 3rd.
Ambiance Stud’s pair were sired by a pair of G1 winners, and commercially successful sires –both of whom’s progeny have been firing on all cylinders this season!
Chapter And Verse (Lot 23) is a colt from the second crop of Equus Champion, and Dubai G1 winner, Vercingetorix –whose first crop has set the South African turf alight!
To date, Vercingetorix has been responsible for more than 20 first crop winners, headed by G2 winning millionaire African Warrior, East Cape champion Hooves Of Troy, East Cape Nursery hero Viking Moon and the likes of such promising sorts as Marshall, Tallinn, Ikigai, and Wisteria Walk.

Ambiance’s colt, Chapter And Verse, is a half-brother to two black type performers including Michaelmas Handicap winner Celtic Captain and his dam is a dual winning half-sister to Easter Handicap winning sire Sudden Storm.
Dr Thomson will also be offering the well bred colt Giratorio (Lot 50), a colt by triple G1 winner and dual Italian champion sire Oratorio. The latter, sire of more than 50 stakes winners the world over, has made a superb start to the 2019-2020 season, with Oratorio’s current notable performers including the promising pair of Athalia and Ultra Magnus –to name but two.

Giratorio is out of the Vettori mare Girolata –whose five runners, all of whom have won, include Bauhinia Handicap winner Crown Of Roses, and this colt’s second dam is a stakes placed half-sister to G2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winning sire Roi Gironde.
This is the family of G1 Prix Jacques le Marois winner Gravelines, and Japan Cup victor Golden Pheasant.
