The Cornerstone Stud will be offering four classy two-year-olds at November’s Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale in Germiston.
Cornerstone’s draft is made up of juveniles sired by G1 winners, and proven stallions, Go Deputy and Potala Palace, with their four lots hailing from prolific female lines.

Deputy Of Love (Lot 29) is a filly by G1 Sword Dancer Handicap winner Go Deputy, a son of outstanding stallion Deputy Minister, and himself the sire of, among others, Triple Crown winner Abashiri.

This grey filly is out of talented racemare Dover Beach, a five time winner up to 1800m, and her second dam is former stakes winning two-year-old Hard To Get. Intriguingly, Deputy Of Love traces back directly in female line to Imanative –who is also ancestress of such Breeders’ Cup winning champions as Arrogate and Meadow Star.

Singspiel’s G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes winner Potala Palace has made a superb start to his stud career (despite been represented by only two small first crops), and he rates as one of South Africa’s more promising stallions.
The blue blooded Potala Palace, himself from the same female line as such outstanding sires as Sadler’s Wells and Nureyev, is the sire of three of Cornerstone’s four juveniles.

His trio includes Zampano (Lot 78), a three-parts brother to G3 Pretty Polly Stakes winner Palace Of Dreams (by Potala Palace), Frozen Palace (Lot 88) –a colt whose dam is a three-parts sister to Horse Of The Year, and five time G1 winner, Yard-Arm, and White Palace (Lot 129). The latter, whose dam is a three-parts sister to East Cape champion Widow’s Lamp, is out of a 3 time winning half-sister to the smart Astral Athina and this is the family of champion National Bay.
