ARRAN STUD TO OFFER CLASSY VERCINGETORIX FILLY AT NYS

The Maine Chance Farms based champion, and former National Sale graduate, Vercingetorix has made a tremendous start to his stud career.

A multiple G1 winning son of multiple champion sire Silvano, Vercingetorixs stellar first crop, to date, includes 11 black type horses notably the graded stakes winning pair of African Warrior and Ikigai, G1 Daily News 2000/G2 WSB Guineas runner up Padre Pio and East Cape champion Hooves Of Troy.

Vercingetorix, a R1 400 000 buy from the 2011 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, has made an equally impressive start with his second crop, now two-year-olds, including G1 Allan Robertson Championship/G3 Strelitzia Stakes heroine Vernichey, and he is clearly one of the rising sire stars of the South African breeding industry.

The Arran Stud will be offering a high-class Vercingetorix filly (Lot 382) at this weeks Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Out of a winning granddaughter of outstanding sire and broodmare sire Machiavellian, the filly in question is out of a half-sister to a pair of stakes horses, including Darley Arabian runner up, and seven time winner, Silent Partner (like Vercingetorix, a son of Silvano).

Granddam Secret To Success was a top-class racemare, whose seven wins included triumphs in both the G3 Poinsettia Stakes and G3 SA Fillies Nursery, and she was herself a half-sister to Equus Champion Special Key.

This is also the family of millionaire, and G2 Diadem Stakes winner, Thunder Key and G2 Emerald Cup hero Narc -whose sire National Assembly is broodmare sire of Vercingetorix himself.
